General Comments by vendor
|
Willow is currently moored at
Calcutt Marina, this is an excellent location for cruising, offering
an easy week with 4 locks each way or as many locks as you can
handle via Warwick and Birmingham on a longer break.
The mooring location is discussed and voted on at the Annual General
Meeting each year. Calcutt Marina look after the boat very well and
the staff are friendly and helpful.
Willow is a comfortable semi-trad boat that has all mod cons
including microwave, washing machine, central heating as well as the
required log/coal fire for cosy winter nights. The bed is larger
than most narrow boats have at 4'6 x 6'6.
Other owners are often willing to exchange weeks if circumstances
mean that you cannot take your agreed week(s).
We have enjoyed several years of shared ownership boating with
originally Ownerships and the last four years with Willow. We have
now bought our own trad style 50' boat and no longer need this
share.In short,
Willow is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable break
away from it all. Buying a boat share was certainly one of the best
decisions we ever made. It allowed us to cruise the network in 'our'
boat enjoying some superb holidays in different parts of the
country.
The allocation system is flexible and fair offering the opportunity
to book single or two week holidays. This share has three yellow
weeks (spring and late summer/ autumn) and one blue week (winter).
Owners can also nominate two named users of their share so that
family and friends can make use of your unused weeks.
The syndicates are professionally managed by Carefree. All monies
are held in a secure client account and running cost details are
presented annually at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). It really is
carefree cruising, if anything goes wrong, simply report it and it
will be rectified, same day if necessary or on return to base if
non-urgent.
If you were spending the annual running costs on hiring a boat of
similar standard, the choice is:
one/ two weeks each year (hiring) four weeks each year (as share
owner). Viewing by
appointment most Sunday mornings at Calcutt.
