| General comments about the boat | ||
|
At the back of the boat there are a
couple of waist-high doors into the cockpit, with storage
lockers/seats on either side. Engine covers under your feet, and
easy access to the dip-stick, stern gland greaser and weed-hatch. Moving forward past the doors and hatch cover you drop down into the master-bedroom and fixed double bed with shelf and spot-lighting above; plus wardrobe, coat hooks and corner cupboard. Next there is the bathroom with walk-in shower cubicle, extractor fan, 'macerator' type toilet, wash-basin and storage shelving. After that some storage cupboards and the galley, with ample work surfaces, gas hob and oven, microwave, sink unit and washing machine; plus a pair of opening doors on the starboard side. Then there's an 'L' shaped sofa which converts to a double bed, and another sofa which does the same or can be used as two singles. There's a folding table, a corner multi-fuel stove and a TV/DVD/radio on a corner unit and two full length corner wardrobes. There are speakers in the master bedroom, hot water is provided by the engine and a diesel-fuelled heater warms the boat through skirting-board radiators. The boat is well lit and has a new wooden floor around the galley area. Carpets are new too (2012 apx). Outside there is a bow water tank and a locker for the gas bottles, solid fuel and the water hose etc. |

Our share in Water Lily has
been the perfect introduction to narrow boating, at around
half the price charged by the hire companies. In the five
years that we have been co-owners we have had no problems or
difficulties with either the boat or the management company.
Water Lily has always been clean, ready and waiting for us
from the moment we stepped on board and any maintenance
issues have been dealt with in a proficient and capable way
- which is ideal if you only have a limited amount of time
available. Holidays are supposed to be for relaxation! |
