their share. Then bookings are made by the shareholder in the number
one slot having first choice and so on. Each year the order moves in
rotation moving up the summer list and down the winter list, two
places at a time so over time everyone has the same choices.
|
Priority for school holidays |
There is a mix of owners some choose to avoid the holidays
and generally people have been flexible but their are no special
arrangements

General comments about the boat |
Shropshire Blue is a comfortable 57 footer launched originally in
2002. Repainted in 2008 and a brand new replacement engine in 2010.
She is fitted out internally mostly of pine tongue and groove.
The bedroom is at the stern. Additional storage is provided by over
bed cupboard and a single wardrobe.. The wet cupboard and
electrics/non domestic storage cupboards are at the side of the
steps.
The bathroom has a WC, shower and wash basin with vanity unit.
in the galley, a pleasant L-shape, there is a full range of base
units both sides providing ample storage. There is a gas eye level
grill and oven with electric fridge under, there is a gas hob is set
into worktop and of course a sink.
The galley is very well equipped with Microwave, toaster, crockery,
cutlery and cooking equipment for a crew of six.
The very full domestic inventory also includes a Henry Vac.
An additional make up double berth is provided by the raised
dinette, which also provides storage for bedding with cupboards.
The saloon has two comfy armchairs, which convert, into single
berths, an LCD TV with DVD.
A boiler supplies the central heating with a solid fuel stove
providing additional heating in the colder months.
The saloon is fully carpeted; storage steps lead to the bow deck
where the gas locker is located.
Shropshire Blue is fully equipped for canal cruising. The engine is
serviced regularly and we are also members of a breakdown
association.

General Comments by vendor
|
The AGM is usually held in March
when the owners meet to discuss plans for repairs and renewals for
the year ahead and set the annual maintenance contribution.
The annual fees (2 payments-
March & Sept) cover ALL fees. All moorings, servicing, insurance
etc. The only thing you have to pay for when you use the boat is the
diesel and pump out fees.
We have an excellent treasurer and the balance is very healthy,
estimated at nearly £8,000, which is another way of saying that
actually the price being asked could be regarded as £1,000 less
than it is!
The AGM decides the costs
and has been £1000 per annum per 12th share, payable in two lots,
one in March and the other in
September.
