General Comments by vendor

Still Dreaming is a 58' semi-trad narrow boat with a 'walk through' well deck, cratch and cover, and side hatch. She has been beautifully maintained and had a new Beta 43 engine, prop shaft and mains battery charging system fitted last year.

Starting at the rear. there is a fixed double bed which can be extended to king size, together with ample storage space and an en-suite pump-out toilet/shower. The bathroom contains a second pump-out toilet, vanity unit, airing cupboard, corner bath and shower. Forward from this is a kitchen with four-burner gas hob, grill and oven, fridge, microwave and plenty of storage space.

The lounge area has an L-shaped dinette which converts into a double bed, and two chair/beds which each convert into a single bed. There is also a flat-screen TV with DVD player, a radio/CD unit and a solid fuel stove. Gas central heating can also be used to heat the whole boat. The double-glazed front doors can be opened to almost the full width of 'Still Dreaming', which is ideal in warm weather.

The large water tank is situated at the front of the boat, and there are large storage lockers/seats in the well deck, with a small detachable table for enjoying a meal or drinks outside in the summer. The lockers contain the hose reel, windlasses, mooring pins, shuttering hooks, river anchor and chain. The boat is also fitted with fire and carbon monoxide detectors, 12V charging sockets (for mobile phones etc) and mains sockets (supplied by an inverter or shore power).

The friendly group of owners (nominally 10, but some own half shares) took over the running of the boat after the collapse of 'OwnerShips' in 2010. This considerably reduced our running costs and we now each have four weeks of holidays every year for around £1,000. This covers mooring, insurance, licence, gold river rescue service (which is virtually never used), and predictable repair costs.

When using the boat, owners pay for diesel, pump-outs, gas (if a bottle runs out), and usually a valet on the day they return (approximately £40).

The boat is currently self managed by a group of friendly, helpful and inspired owners. As a result this boat is maintained generally to a high standard.

New Beta 43 engine and prop fitted 2012, back to metal outside repaint and colour change in 2015, interior seating re-upholstered, new curtains and sofa chairs purchased in 2016. A new cratch cover has also been fitted during 2016.
All recent upgrades funded by annual owners fee of £1,000pa with no extra contribution.

All upgrades and expenditure agreed by AGM normally held in October of each year.
