Booking System |
The rota is managed by the syndicate's
Booking Secretary, to give boaters 1 week in Spring, 2 weeks in
Summer, and a further week in Autumn/Winter. The weeks "slip
back" by a two places each cruising year, so that shareholders
experience the waterways in all seasons. Plenty of opportunity
for swapping weeks and extended cruising by arrangement.
AGM held yearly (normally late
January) when fees and any changes for coming year are
agreed.

General Comments by vendor

Members are willing to swap
weeks to assist each other with personnel circumstances
and once rota is published members are free to swap
weeks or sell weeks to other members at a fixed price
(2017=£189). This is set at three times the current
monthly maintenance payment, so in theory if you are
unable to use your weeks one year and sell them to other
members it would cover your maintenance payments for
that year.
The four
maintenance weeks spread throughout the year are used by
the engineer (One of the members, although any other
members may help if they like) to do any improvements
that are needed/ requested. Further maintenance/repairs
carried out by Anglo Welsh also utilising these weeks
who also look after the cleaning at turnaround.
As you can see Madge is maintained to a high standard
with high spec fittings to afford all members a pleasant
luxurious time aboard. We are a very friendly group of
members who meet yearly for a social get together, in
addition to the AGM.
We have also in the past arranged changeover at
different locations to enable visits to further reaches
of the network.
Flat screen TV with Snipe
Satellite Finder (saves getting out of the boat to
adjust the aerial or dish and will get a signal when you
would not think it).
Has Gas Central Heating with recently replaced Boiler.
Recently refurbished Bathroom & Shower.
Recently refurbished Kitchen, new Cooker, 12 volt Fridge
and Worktops.
Recently replaced windows with two Double Glazed Windows
to kitchen area.
Any mechanical or other problems are reported to the
committee and sorted out by Anglo Welsh at Great Haywood
and has worked out very well in the past.
We also have RCR Gold Membership for the unplanned
breakdown.
Viewings can be arranged with members by appointment.
